Carmen Electra was born April 20th, 1972 in Sharonville Ohio, just outside of Cincinnati. Carmen's original name is Tara Leigh Patrick and is of Irish, German, and Cherokee Indian descent. Carmen attended Sharonville Princeton High School, and also studied at Walnut Hills High School.
Carmen changed her name from Tara Leigh Patrick to Carmen Electra after she moved to California and met popular signer Prince, who persuaded her to change her name. Prince's record company signed Carmen to a recording deal where Carmen was to sing with a femal rap group, the group broke up soon after.
In the 1996 May issue of Playboy magazine Carmen got a big break as she appeared in the issue. The added exposure for Electra lead to a regular role on the popular Baywatch TV show. Carmen then made the leap from the small screen to the big screen, as she appeared in sever films. In 1997 she appeared in the "Good Burger", in 1999 she appeared in "The Mating Habits of the Earthbound Human", and in 2000 appeared in the popular commedy, horror spoof, Scary Movie. Carmen continued her movie success with a role in the remake of the 70's TV show Starsky & Hutch in 2004. One of her most recent movies is quite different from her typical role in the family friendly comedy "Cheaper by the Dozen 2". In the movie, which was released in 2005, Carmen plays Eugen Levy's wife.
Carmen is also a regular on the exotic dance group The Pussycat Dolls. Other famous females have made guest appearances with the troupe such as Christina Applegate, as well as Christina Aguilera. What has become obvious is Carmen's love for dance. As is apparent as previously mentioned in her role with The Pussycat dolls. Carmen has also released a series of successful DVDs that combine forms of dance (hip-hop, and exotic, as well as others) with an aerobic workout. The series is called "Carmen Electra Aerobic Striptease" and has been extremely popular with those wishing to learn how to dance, those wishing to get into shape, as well as those wishing to spice up their love life.
